However, the door is not securely locked until you insert and turn the key to secure the locks. Lever/Pad Handle: A lever handle on the inside and a pad (shorter) handle on the outside. Lever/Pad Handles work differently to Lever/Lever Handles in that, this handle has a lever handle on the inside of the door and a pad on the outside of the door. The difference with this handle is that it is semi-locked when you shut the door outside so you will need the key to open the door. However, a similarity with Lever/Lever Handles is that the door is not securely locked until you insert and turn the key to secure the locks. Thumb Turn Cylinder: We provide a FREE UPGRADE to Thumb Turn Cylinder. Choosing an optional extra thumb turn cylinder for the inside of a door is a matter of personal choice. A feature that could be an advantage for some could be a disadvantage to others. This all depends on your household. A thumb turn cylinder on the inside of a door is a cylinder shaped piece of hardware that, when turned, locks the door. This can be useful for doors with a Lever/Lever Handle as you need the key to lock a door with a Lever/Lever Handle. In the event that the key is left in the door when locked, someone outside with a key cannot lock the door from the outside. Another feature of a thumb turn cylinder on the inside of a door is that you don’t need the key to unlock the door inside to get out. This can be useful but for some, it could be a disadvantage, particularly if you smallies in the house that can easily get out on their own. 4 Hinges As Standard Palladio Composite Doors are designed with enhanced durability and security in mind. We are delighted to announce the release of our new Promotional Video. Our Fitters did a fantastic job for our happy customer here. The fitting consisted of 3 uPVC Windows in Blue/White to the front of the house, 4 uPVC Windows White/White to the back of the house, 1 San Marco Blue/White Palladio Composite Door and 1 set uPVC French Doors in Blue/White to the front of the house. All the above products are A-Rated with low U-Values, Energy Efficient, High Security and Triple Glazing. Our customer chose dual colour Windows and Doors to give a beautiful colourful look on the outside while keeping the inside of their home bright with all Windows and Doors white on the inside. The fitting took just one and a half days. We supply and fit in all weather, as you can see, the first day of fitting it was raining and the second day was dry. Our Windows and Doors are available in double and triple glazing and all Palladio Composite Doors are triple glazed as standard.
